Second Burglary in Six Days at Another Business on Wealthy Street

On the Rise: A Series of Thefts in Wealthy Street Businesses in Grand Rapids, Michigan Leaves Local Community Vigilant

In the bustling city of Grand Rapids, Michigan, two businesses on Wealthy Street have been victims of theft within a week. First, it was Wealthy Street Bakery where masked robbers attempted to break into the front door and smashed a side window when they were unsuccessful. Despite their efforts, they left empty-handed as there was no cash left out overnight. This incident has caused frustration and disappointment for the local businesses.

Following this incident, Good Judys Market and Juice Bar, located near Wealthy Street Bakery, was also broken into. A large piece of asphalt was thrown through their glass door, prompting the business to close for the remainder of the day while the investigation was ongoing. It is unclear at this time if anything was taken from Good Judys. The Operations Manager of Wealthy Street Bakery expressed his frustration stating that small businesses like theirs do not keep large amounts of cash on hand.

The Grand Rapids Police Department is currently investigating both incidents and has not determined if they are connected. Residents and businesses in the area are being vigilant and taking precautions to prevent further break-ins. The local community is coming together to support these small businesses and ensure their safety in the future.
