Winners announced at 2024 Better Barrel Races World Finals

Intense Races and Thrilling Triumphs at the Better Barrel Races Association’s 2024 World Finals

The Better Barrel Races Association recently concluded their annual World Finals at the Oklahoma City facility, crowning champions after several days of intense barrel racing. This event, held in April 2024, featured multiple qualifying races in various divisions, including futurity, derby, youth, and more, making it appealing for all barrel racing enthusiasts.

At the BBR World Finals, participants made runs in the main coliseum and in “Barn 8” to qualify for the Classic Equine Finals. In this division, veteran talent Marne Loosenort from Hazel, Ky., emerged as the winner aboard PT Love Tabea Blazin with a time of 15.190 seconds. McKinlee Paschal from Nome, Texas came in second with a time of 15.193 seconds. Other division winners included Laina Alley, Amanda Averett, Astrid LaRocque and Rebecca Stobaugh.

In the futurity division, World Champion Sherry Cervi clinched the title riding her 2019 AQHA mare MP Meter My Fame. This legendary barrel racer piloted the mare to victory with a time of 32.070 seconds and earned $4,541 for her efforts. Riley Youngman and Foolish Eddie came in second with a combined time of 32.092 seconds and won $3653.

The BBR World Finals are highly anticipated by members of the association every year and did not disappoint during the 2024 event which provided memorable experiences and fulfilled dreams for all barrel racers in attendance
