Davis Baker joins WSFA as new sports reporter

New WSFA Sports Reporter Excited to Join Team and Cover Local Sports News

WSFA 12 News is thrilled to introduce its newest sports reporter, Davis Baker, to the team. Baker joins WSFA after serving as the sports director for KTEN in Denison, Texas for the past two years. During his time at KTEN, he was the weeknight sports anchor, covering local and regional sports news in north Texas and southeast Oklahoma. Additionally, he produced and hosted feature shows and football previews.

Baker expressed his excitement about joining the WSFA team and working alongside Rosie Langello, WSFA’s sports director. Langello shared her enthusiasm about the new partnership, noting that Baker’s reputation in the industry as a hard worker with a positive attitude made him a standout candidate. She is confident that Baker will be a valuable asset, especially with his experience as a former sports director. Langello is looking forward to Baker’s involvement in the community and his dedication to covering sports teams in the area.

Originally from Georgia, Baker graduated from the University of Georgia with a major in journalism. Prior to his time at KTEN, he interned at WRBL in Columbus, Georgia and wrote for “Bulldawg Illustrated” in Athens, Georgia, focusing on UGA sports. Baker has a passion for SEC sports and is eager to highlight high school, college, and professional athletes in Alabama. He expressed that he is excited about being part of an organization like WSFA 12 News which has been committed to delivering quality news coverage for many years now.
