New Leadership Takes the Reins at Veterans’ Homes and Life Resource Centers in Wyoming
The Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) has appointed Greg Meredith as the new administrator of the Veterans’ Home of Wyoming (VHW) in Buffalo. Meredith, a Buffalo native and licensed nursing home administrator, brings with him extensive experience in patient care, behavioral analysis, and leadership. He previously worked at the Wyoming Life Resource Center (WLRC) before taking on his new role at VHW.
Meanwhile, in Lander, the WLRC is also undergoing changes with the appointment of James West as interim administrator following the resignation of Jeremy Forbis. West, who is also the administrator of the WLRC intermediate care facility, has stepped into the interim role while the facility searches for a permanent administrator. Matt Petry, Behavioral Health Division senior administrator with WDH, expressed his confidence in West’s leadership and the dedication of the staff in Lander to provide exceptional care to their residents.
Both VHW and WLRC play crucial roles in serving the healthcare needs of their respective communities by providing domiciliary care and skilled nursing care to veterans and individuals with high medical needs or difficult behaviors respectively. With new leadership in place, these facilities are well-positioned to continue their important work in providing quality care to their residents.
