Nicklaus Children’s Health System and Philips Join Forces to Revolutionize Pediatric Cardiac Care with Specialized Ultrasound Systems

Nicklaus Children’s Health System has announced a partnership with Philips to enhance its cardiac care services. Matthew A. Love, president and CEO of Nicklaus Children’s Health System, stated that Philips shares their commitment to innovation, patient safety, and quality. He emphasized the importance of understanding the unique care goals and experiences of Nicklaus Children’s patients. The collaboration will see Nicklaus Children’s use the Philips EPIQ CVx and Compact 5500CV AI-enabled ultrasound systems. These systems automate measurements and strain quantification, reducing exam times and improving accuracy. TrueVue imaging technology will assist in interpreting structural heart diseases and facilitate communication between healthcare providers, ultimately improving patient outcomes.

Jeff DiLullo, Chief Region Leader for Philips North America, emphasized the importance of creating a healthy future for every child. He highlighted the collaborative approach taken by Philips in developing systems tailored to pediatric patients, working with child psychologists in addition to engineers. Philips aims to support Nicklaus Children’s clinicians with pediatric coaching solutions and AI-enabled tools to improve diagnostic accuracy and treatment outcomes, giving families hope for the future.
