Harvest Pizzeria Owner Chris Crader Gives Back to ECDI During Small Business Week

During Small Business Week, Chris Crader, the owner of Harvest Pizzeria, is giving back to the organization that helped him open his first restaurant in 2012. ECDI, based in Columbus, is the largest Small Business Administration microlender in the nation and has provided over $177 million in loans since its inception in 2004.

Crader credits ECDI with helping him secure a $75,000 loan through federal programs aimed at helping women and U.S. military veterans when he and his wife were unable to secure loans from commercial banks for Harvest Pizzeria. In addition to the loan, he received valuable business-coaching services that helped him grow his business into multiple locations throughout Central Ohio.

Today, Harvest Pizzeria has locations in Bexley, the Brewery District, Clintonville, Dublin, and Granville. As a way of supporting ECDI’s mission to assist other entrepreneurs like himself who may need financial assistance and guidance to achieve their business goals, Crader is donating a portion of his restaurant’s proceeds from takeout pizza sales to the nonprofit institute during Small Business Week.
