Med Center Health Breaks Ground on Expansion in Barren County: New Healthcare Facility Set to Improve Access to Care for Patients across Southcentral Kentucky

Glasgow, Kentucky is set to welcome a new healthcare facility as Med Center Health prepares to break ground on its expansion in Barren County. The ceremony, originally scheduled for inclement weather, will now take place on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the facility’s site located at 401 S. L. Rogers Wells Blvd., next to the Sherwin Williams paint store.

As Southcentral Kentucky’s most comprehensive healthcare system, Med Center Health is dedicated to improving access to care for patients across the region. More than half of its patients come from areas outside of Warren County. Contractor Scott, Murphy and Daniel, in collaboration with Stengel Hill Architecture, are leading the construction effort for the 22,000 square foot facility.

The new facility will feature an outpatient diagnostic imaging center with state-of-the-art technology, providing services such as radiology, ultrasound, mammography, nuclear medicine, CT, and MRI. Additionally, the facility will offer a range of specialties including Primary Care, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat), Hematology/Oncology, Neurosurgery
