Maurice Demond Davis was convicted of murder and felon in possession of a firearm after just 53 minutes of deliberation by a Macon County jury. The verdict came after he was found guilty of shooting and killing MiKayce Parker during an argument at a Tuskegee business. Davis is now facing sentencing on May 9, and the prosecution is seeking to have him classified as a habitual offender due to his prior felonies.
