Avery Carlson: The Multi-Talented Softball Standout with a Sweet Side
Avery Carlson, a senior at Wabasso High School, has been a standout player for the Rabbits softball team this year. She has excelled both at the plate and on the pitcher’s mound, leading the team with a .467 batting average and a 1.31 ERA with 59 strikeouts in 11 games.
In a recent interview conducted by Travis Rosenau, Avery revealed that her favorite high school game so far was the section championship game last year against Edgerton. Despite coming up short, she described the atmosphere as incredibly energetic and memorable.
Avery’s love for sports is not limited to just softball. She also enjoys baking and decorating cakes. In fact, she has her own baking business called Ave’s Cakes, which can be found on Instagram at aves.cakes11. When asked about her favorite food, Avery quickly responded with “pizza.”
Avery’s musical tastes lean towards Taylor Swift, and when it comes to her favorite movie, she chose The Sandlot. Her versatility and talents both on and off the field make her a key player for the Wabasso Rabbits softball team.
