Kim Petras Cancels Summer Festival Appearances Due to Health Issues, Promises Return with New Music and More Performances
Kim Petras, a 31-year-old superstar, has announced that she will be taking a break from performing at scheduled festival appearances this summer due to health issues. While she did not provide specifics about her health concerns, she expressed her disappointment at having to cancel her appearances but promised to make it up to her fans and return better than ever soon.
Despite the cancellations, Petras has plans to return to performing once she has recovered from her health issues. She was set to perform at various festivals, including Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Spain; Mighty Hoopla in London, England; Primavera Porto in Porto, Portugal; and Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle, Wash. She was also announced as the headliner for LadyLand 2024, the annual Pride festival produced by nightlife connoisseur Ladyfag.
In September of 2023, Petras released her French-pop album Problématique via Republic / Amigo Records. Featuring 10 tracks of ecstatic pop sounds ranging from funk to R&B-pop to bratty, materialistic pop jams, the album showcased Petras’ diverse musical talents. This album followed the release of Feed the Beast in June and marked Petras’ second album of 2023. In February of 2024, she released Slut Pop Miami as part of a steady stream of new music from the artist.
