Capitalizing on Technology Budgets: A CIO’s Story

Revolutionizing Business Budgets: Tracy Mozena’s Experience with Atlantic Aviation’s Successful Technology Management

Businesses often face significant challenges when it comes to managing their technology budgets. The costs associated with Customer Relationship Management (CRM), cloud and data services, billing, software, network storage, business process outsourcing, telecommunications services, and data center technology can quickly add up. These expenses often represent a significant portion of a company’s overall expenses, making them a prime target for cost reduction in order to achieve substantial savings.

In a recent conversation with Tracy Mozena, the CIO of Atlantic Aviation, we learned about her experience in navigating technology budgets. Atlantic Aviation is a leader in aviation ground support services and serves as a compelling case study for the financial benefits that organizations can achieve by effectively managing their technology budgets.

Tracy previously ran IT for a management company that owned five businesses. This allowed her to make technology decisions that leveraged economies of scale. However, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, all of these companies were divested. Atlantic Aviation was one of the last entities sold and acquired by KKR. Tracy transitioned to Atlantic Aviation as part of this transaction.

Through her experience at Atlantic Aviation, Tracy has seen firsthand the importance of effective technology budget management in driving financial success. By carefully analyzing and optimizing their technology spending, businesses can achieve significant savings while still investing in the tools and technologies they need to stay competitive and grow.
