Simone Biles, Suni Lee, Gabby Douglas to participate in Core Hydration Classic

Triple Threat: Simone Biles, Suni Lee, and Gabby Douglas to Compete in the Same Gymnastics Meet for the First Time at Core Hydration Classic

In May, the Core Hydration Classic will feature three Olympic all-around gold medalists – Simone Biles, Suni Lee, and Gabby Douglas. This marks the first time that all three have competed in the same gymnastics meet. The event, which leads up to the Olympic Gymnastics Trials, will be held in Hartford, Connecticut and broadcast live on CNBC and Peacock on May 18 from 7-9 p.m. ET. Viewers can also stream the event on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app for CNBC subscribers.

The roster for the Classic includes other notable gymnasts such as Tokyo Olympic floor exercise gold medalist Jade Carey, Olympic team silver medalist Jordan Chiles, and two-time world all-around medalist Shilese Jones.

Following the Core Hydration Classic, the gymnasts will compete at the Xfinity U.S. Championships from May 30 to June 2 in Fort Worth, Texas and then the Olympic Trials from June 27-30 in Minneapolis.

Simone Biles is making her competition debut at this year’s Classic after winning last year’s all-around title at the event. Suni Lee has faced challenges due to being diagnosed with kidney diseases in early 2023 but has still competed in two events in 2024.

Gabby Douglas returned to competition at April’s American Classic after taking a break since competing at the Rio Games in 2016. Biles, Lee, and Douglas are all vying to showcase their skills and secure a spot on the Paris Olympic team.

This meet promises to be an exciting display of gymnastic talent as these elite athletes vie for recognition and a chance to represent their country on an international stage.
