Tornado Touches Down in Eastern Oklahoma: Severe Storms Rage Through the Night

On Monday night, severe storms raged on in eastern Oklahoma, with a confirmed tornado touching down just west of Skiatook Lake around 9:15 p.m. The storm tracked northeast through Barnsdall and toward the Bartlesville area before being absorbed by the squall line to the west. Witnesses reported seeing a large wedge tornado near Barnsdall, where damage has been reported.

The storms were expected to move east, possibly becoming stronger and more severe with hail, wind, and isolated tornadoes as the main threats. A tornado watch was in effect until 11 p.m. Monday in Tulsa County, with meteorologist Kirsten Lang providing the forecast for severe weather expected that night.
