Tornado Strikes Lancaster County Business with 70 Employees Present

Tornado Strikes Garner Industries in Lancaster County, Causing Building Collapse and Injuring Workers

On Friday afternoon, a tornado struck Garner Industries, a business located in northeast Lancaster County. The tornado hit the building near N 98th Street and Cornhusker Highway between Lincoln and Waverly around 3 p.m., causing the building to collapse with several individuals trapped inside.

Three workers sustained injuries and were taken to area hospitals, but are expected to recover. The remaining workers were transported to the Sandhills Global Event Center for safety. Garner Industries, as stated on their website, is a plastic injection molding service.
