Pierce County deputies retrieve truck belonging to business owner in Tacoma.

Stolen Gutter Business: Roy Business Owner Devastated, Community Rallies to Help Recover Stolen Truck and Tools

On Sunday night, KIRO 7’s Jake Chapman interviewed a Tacoma business owner, Ron Baker, who was devastated after his box truck containing his entire gutter business was stolen. The incident took place on Friday night in the 30300 block of 72nd Avenue South in Roy.

Fortunately, on Monday night, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office informed KIRO 7 that the stolen truck had been recovered. However, it is still unclear if all the tools inside the truck were still present. Deputies responded to an unwanted person call and found a man sleeping inside the stolen truck. The man was subsequently arrested.

KIRO 7 is actively seeking more information about the recovery of the truck and has set up a GoFundMe page to assist Baker in purchasing new tools and equipment. It is currently unknown whether any of the stolen equipment has been found or recovered.
