Thrilling Tuesdays: Extra-Innings Battles Determine Winners in MLB
In Girard, it was a nail-biting game when they hosted Lakeview on Tuesday. The Bulldogs managed to pull off a 7-6 victory in what was described as an old-fashioned barnburner. Lakeview coach Cam Carson praised his team for battling through tough situations and playing the game from start to finish. Meanwhile, in Pittsburgh, Andrew McCutchen hit a leadoff home run for the second straight game, Bailey Falter pitched a shutout into the eighth inning, and the Pirates defeated the Brewers 2-1.
In Cleveland, José Ramírez homered in the eighth inning to help lead the Guardians to a 4-1 victory over the Red Sox. Tyler Freeman and Bryan Rocchio also contributed RBIs in the seventh inning as Cleveland continued their impressive start to the season.
On Tuesday, McDonald’s dramatic seventh-inning rally fell just short as Mineral Ridge secured an 8-7 road victory over them. The day before, McDonald had won at home on an eighth-inning error that allowed them to score. However, on this day, it was not enough for them to come out on top as they lost by one run.
