Healthy Kids Day® Brings Fun and Learning to the Statesboro Family YMCA

On May 4, 2024, the annual Healthy Kids Day® was held at the Statesboro Family YMCA in Statesboro. The event aimed to promote health and fun for kids and families as they prepared for summer. From 10am to 2pm, the public was invited to participate in various activities that engaged both children and adults.

Some of the featured activities included family field day activities, group fitness demonstrations, vendor booths, water activities, bounce houses, and more. Free fruit was also distributed at the event. Hannah Beggs, Executive Branch Director at the Statesboro Family YMCA, emphasized that the day was all about kids having fun and enjoying themselves in a safe and healthy environment.

The event aimed to encourage physical activity and healthy eating habits among children while providing a free and secure space for them to play within the community.
