Senator Ernst’s Small Business of the Week: The Landmark Bistro – A Community Gem in Grundy County

Ranking Member Ernst, a US Senator representing Iowa’s Republican Party, has announced her Small Business of the Week for this week. The Landmark Bistro in Grundy County has been recognized as the outstanding small business in the state of Iowa. Jill Krausman, founder of The Landmark Bistro, opened the restaurant in 2015 with the goal of creating a community gathering space and quality eatery in Grundy Center.

The Landmark Bistro is known for its delicious local food, inviting atmosphere, and top-notch service. Jill and her team have created a destination that showcases the charm of Grundy Center while also giving back to the local community by partnering with other businesses and entrepreneurs. Jill was honored as one of the 40 Women to Watch in the Hospitality Industry by the Iowa Restaurant Association and was featured on Travel Iowa’s list of 99 Counties, 99 Restaurants.

Senator Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties throughout this Congress. This is just one example of how she is working to support small businesses across the state and help them succeed.
