Small Bake Shop Owners Expanding with New Breakfast Restaurant

From Bake Shop to Coffee and Breakfast Haven: Little Bake Shop’s New Venture in West Valley

In the West Valley, Little Bake Shop owners are excited to announce the opening of their new breakfast and coffee restaurant. The establishment is set to open on June 1, with a new location at 6801 W. Tieton Drive, across from Roots Nursery. According to co-owner Adrienne Engelhart, the new location will provide more room and menu options for customers to enjoy.

The journey of Little Bake Shop began in 2011 when Engelhart and Jill Johnson started selling baked goods made from fresh fruit grown by Johnson’s husband, Eric. In 2021, Jill stepped away from the business, prompting Andy Buck, former manager of Johnson Orchards, to become a co-owner. The new business venture emerged from a collaboration with Brianne Plath, owner of a historic home located at 68th Avenue and Tieton Drive. Plath saw the potential for a coffee shop at the location and led to the development of the new restaurant.

The new coffee shop will offer a rotating menu that includes various breakfast sandwiches, quiches, savory scones, and different Danishes. There are plans to introduce a lunch menu in the future, expanding the range of offerings. Despite the expansion, Little Bake Shop will maintain its current menu of pies, cookies and pastries at its original location at Johnson Orchards. The store currently operates Wednesdays through Saturdays from 9 am to 4 pm.

Renovations are underway at the new location, with a new parking lot already completed to accommodate customers.
