Review: Hyundai Kona Road Trip – Pros and Cons.

Hyundai Kona: A Safe and Comfortable Option for Teens and College Students: A Journalist’s Personal Experience

Recently, one of my close friends reached out to me seeking advice on a safe yet not overly large car for his teenage sons. At the same time, I was contemplating what type of vehicle would be appropriate for my daughter as she prepared to head off to college. In search of answers, I decided to drive a Hyundai Kona from Silicon Valley to Santa Barbara to see if this car met the criteria.

As I drove our old Toyota, I often wondered what kind of vehicle my daughter should be driving as an adult. My friend’s concerns about safety and the size of the vehicle reminded me of my own thoughts on this matter. During a recent trip with my family to UC Santa Barbara from Silicon Valley, I had the opportunity to test out the 2024 Hyundai Kona.

I found that this car met all our requirements – it was safe, not too large and suitable for a teenage driver or a college-bound young adult. Here are some key takeaways from our trip and a breakdown of what we appreciated, enjoyed and disliked about this vehicle:

One thing we appreciated most about the Hyundai Kona was its safety features. It comes equipped with advanced safety technology like lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and blind spot monitoring which helped us feel secure on the road. We also enjoyed its spacious interior and comfortable seating that made for a smooth ride. However, we did notice that the infotainment system could be improved in terms of its speed and responsiveness. Overall, we were happy with our choice of the 2024 Hyundai Kona as it provided us with both safety and comfort during our journey from Silicon Valley to Santa Barbara.
