Ramping up for March Madness: Exciting matchups in women’s Sweet 16 preview

As the Women’s Sweet 16 begins, USA Today Sports’ Tony Anderson previews some of the top matchups that fans are eagerly looking forward to. The tournament will be broadcast on ESPN and ABC.

The undefeated top seed South Carolina has had a dominant run to the Sweet 16, but Indiana has shown strength with their high field goal percentage and strong defense. Freshman Madison Booker has been impressive in her debut tournament. In the opening game of the Sweet 16 on Friday at 2:30 p.m. ET, Notre Dame Fighting Irish will play the Oregon State Beavers.

Fans can tune in to watch these exciting games as the top teams in women’s college basketball compete for a spot in the Elite Eight. Nancy Armour and Lindsay Schnell have made their picks for the Sweet 16 matchups: Nancy picks Notre Dame, South Carolina, NC State, and Gonzaga while Lindsay chooses Oregon State, South Carolina, NC State, and Gonzaga.
