A Closer Look at the Miami Dolphins’ Draft Picks: From Standout Offensive Tackle Patrick Paul to Questionable Running Back Jaylen Wright
The Miami Dolphins had a successful draft, with standout picks including offensive tackle Patrick Paul and wide receivers Tahj Washington and Malik Washington. While some may have found the team’s trade-up for Jaylen Wright in the fourth round perplexing, overall they acquired a solid group of players.
One of my favorite picks from the Dolphins’ draft was Patrick Paul, who has exceptional athleticism and is just beginning to showcase his potential as an NFL tackle. Standing at 6-7 and 330 pounds, Paul has the ability to become a consistent tackle and make impressive plays in head coach Mike McDaniel’s offense. This prospect-to-team match seems destined for success.
On the other hand, my least favorite pick was Jaylen Wright, the running back from Tennessee taken in the fourth round. While speed is a priority for Coach McDaniel, Wright struggles with vision and running between the tackles. McDaniel may need to see that not all fast running backs are equal.
The Dolphins’ draft picks included Chop Robinson in the first round, Mohamed Kamara in the fifth round, Patrick McMorris in the sixth round, and Tahj Washington in the seventh round.
