Making the Most of Milwaukee’s RNC: Preparing Businesses for the Upcoming Political Event”.

In preparation for the upcoming Republican National Convention, which will take place in Milwaukee in just 70 days, businesses in the area are gearing up to navigate their operations and accommodate the influx of visitors expected to attend the event. With an estimated 50,000 people descending on the city, there are concerns about how to manage logistics and provide a smooth experience for attendees.

To address these concerns, the Secret Service and Milwaukee 2024 Host Committee recently held a ‘Coffee and Conversation’ event for business owners. The event provided answers to questions and alleviated any concerns that businesses may have, especially those located within the security zone surrounding the RNC.

Alison Prange, Chief Operating Officer of Milwaukee 2024 Host Committee emphasized the importance of businesses reaching out for assistance. She noted that Secret Service is committed to working closely with businesses to ensure smooth operations during the convention. This includes facilitating deliveries to restricted areas and providing guidance on security measures that will be released by Secret Service in June.

Businesses were encouraged to direct specific questions to Host Committee during two additional ‘Coffee and Conversation’ events scheduled for May 13th and May 20th at different locations around Milwaukee. These events provided an opportunity for businesses to address any further concerns they may have.
