Dignity Health and Aetna come to a new contract agreement

Dignity Health and Aetna Reach Multi-Year Contract to Reinstate Dignity’s Facilities and Providers from Aetna’s Network in California, Arizona, and Nevada

On April 1, Dignity Health and Aetna reached a new multi-year contract that guarantees Aetna members in California, Arizona, and Nevada access to Dignity’s services, facilities, and providers. The agreement came after negotiations between the two parties failed earlier in April, resulting in the removal of Dignity Health facilities and providers from Aetna’s network.

The contract ensures that any Aetna members who have received care from Dignity since early April will continue to be covered. Both Dignity Health and Aetna expressed their commitment to providing high-quality, convenient, and affordable care to their members. The president of Dignity Health stated that the agreement is a win for patients who deserve access to top-notch care.

Aetna’s vice president and chief network officer for the Western and South Central region emphasized their dedication to meeting the healthcare needs of their members through their network of providers. Members who have any questions about their coverage are advised to contact the number listed on their insurance card for assistance.
