Driving the new VW Passat and Tiguan: Two new hits on the market

Volkswagen Passat and Tiguan Make a Splash in Croatia: A Review of the New Models

The new Volkswagen Passat and Tiguan have arrived on the Croatian market, six months after their world premiere. While VW has been focusing on electric models recently, they have not forgotten their popular classic models with gasoline and diesel engines. The new generations of the Passat and Tiguan continue to cater to this majority of sales.

We drove both vehicles from Zagreb to Istria and found that while many familiar aspects have remained, there have been significant changes. The Passat no longer has a limousine version, only the station wagon remains. However, the body line is similar to its predecessor, but significant changes have been made at the front and rear. The interior has seen major changes, with a new cockpit and infotainment system.

The range of engines in Croatia is currently limited but will soon expand to include more diesel options and new plug-in hybrid versions. The new Passat features a new suspension system with adaptive shock absorbers, which provides a comfortable driving experience with minimal noise in the cabin and impressive fuel efficiency.

On the other hand, the new Tiguan has seen a significant upgrade compared to its predecessor, with a larger size and more interior space. The interior features a large touch screen and a multifunctional wheel for various controls. The range of engines is richer, with options for gasoline, diesel, and plug-in hybrid versions. The driving experience is comfortable, agile, and fun for an SUV.

Both the new Passat and Tiguan offer a high-quality driving experience and impressive features. The pricing for the models in Croatia varies depending on equipment levels and engine options. Volkswagen expects high sales for both models in the Croatian market due to their balance of comfort
