Coming Soon: Archive Your Posts on Meta Social Network with Changes in Threads

Threads’ New Archiving Feature: A Game-Changer in Social Networking Control

Meta has recently introduced a new feature to Threads, its messaging app for Instagram. This feature allows users to archive their posts either automatically or manually. With this new option, users can control the content in their feed and hide or recover posts as they see fit, similar to other social networks such as Instagram.

To archive a post manually, users can select specific posts from their feed and choose the ‘Archive now’ option from the menu. This will hide the post from the feed and make it unavailable to the public. Alternatively, users can set up automatic archiving where posts are archived after a designated period of time has passed since their publication.

According to Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram, archived posts can be unarchived at any time if users decide to make them public again. This feature is currently being tested as an option and users who wish to use automatic archiving need to configure it in their account settings.

In addition to this news, Threads has surpassed 150 million active users per month as announced by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg during the company’s first quarter earnings report in 2024. Since its launch in July of the previous year, Threads has consistently grown and gained around 20 million new users since February.

Overall, the addition of Threads to Meta’s social platform ecosystem has been successful with positive growth and user engagement. The post archiving feature is just one of many improvements that Meta is making to enhance the user experience on the platform.
