Small Business Success Stories: A Unique Networking Opportunity in Safford, Arizona

Safford’s first Spotlight on Small Business event is almost here, and seats are limited! Taking place on Monday, April 1, at the Manor 415 Convention Center, this event is a unique opportunity for small business owners to connect with city officials and discuss ways to improve their success.

Safford Mayor Richard Ortega and City Manager John Cassella will be among the attendees, along with other city staff. During the event, small business owners will have the chance to share their experiences and suggest improvements that could benefit them and the city. They will also learn about important aspects of running a small business in Safford, including licensing requirements, the role of the Planning and Community Development Department, and new reporting requirements for the Financial Crimes Network of the IRS.

Even experienced small business owners can benefit from this event. As Mayor Ortega noted, “It’s always great to learn something new.” The event will begin with a continental breakfast at 7:00 am followed by networking opportunities at 7:30 am. The program will last for approximately 90 minutes.

Admission is free, but seats must be reserved online through Eventbrite. This event is sponsored by several organizations including the City of Safford, Graham County Chamber of Commerce, Small Business Development Center at Eastern Arizona College, and Safford Downtown Association.
