Twerking vandals wreak havoc on Glendora establishment

Small Business Pink Sponge Survives Vandal Attack on April 20, Calls for Community Support and Assistance

A group of vandals caused extensive damage to the fleet of pink Volkswagen Bugs belonging to small business Pink Sponge on April 20. The incident occurred on a parking structure in Glendora and was captured in a video showing at least three women twerking on the hoods of the vehicles and causing other destruction such as breaking car windows, taillights, and headlights, as well as throwing cleaning products off the parking structure.

The small business plans to repaint the cars, replace various parts, and restock their cleaning products after estimating the damage to be around $25,000 and affecting 18 cars. Despite filing a claim with the insurance company, it was denied, so a GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover the repair costs.

Jennifer Ahlgrim, co-founder of Pink Sponge, expressed her devastation over the damage. She described the situation as “really sad” but also expressed gratitude for community support and assistance in recovering from the damage caused by the vandals. The small business was built from scratch and has been deeply affected by this incident.

Authorities informed Ahlgrim that all three vandals, who are juveniles, have been arrested by Glendora Police for their actions.
