On April 27, police officers searched the home of Sakhalin human rights activist Mark Cooperman. The search was related to allegations of “calls for extremism” under the Russian Federation’s Criminal Code. Humanitarian occupation” to an unidentified group of people, which he denies ever seeing or sending. During the search, all electronic devices in the house were seized by security forces.

Meanwhile, searches were also conducted at the homes of nine colleagues from the human rights organization “For Human Rights” on Sakhalin, who are involved in the case as witnesses.
