Rangers must reboot the stalled engine

Rangers’ Title Prospects in Peril as Losses Plague Their League Campaign

The recent results of Rangers have caused concern for their title prospects in the Premiership campaign. Despite having a four-game winning streak, they have failed to keep it going and have only picked up one victory in their last four matches. This has led to a dip in form at the wrong time, with just two wins in their last seven outings across all competitions.

This poor performance has been attributed to the added burden of their successful League Cup campaign and run to the Europa League last 16. However, luckily for them, Celtic’s form has been patchy as well. In 17 league matches since early December, they have dropped 15 points. If it were not for Rabbi Matondo’s stoppage-time equaliser at Ibrox, Celtic would have had a perfect record in their last four outings.

Despite this setback, Rangers still have control of their own destiny and can steer back to winning ways if no further points are lost on Dens Park pitch. The Dens Park fixture is one that has received much attention and criticism already, but if Rangers cannot find a way to win on it, their title challenge will fail miserably. The bump in the road could quickly turn into a car crash if Clement cannot lead his side back to victory ways.
