Pioneering Teen Scientist Ava Goldsmith Advances to Prestigious International Science and Engineering Fair with Cancer Therapy Research

Ava Goldsmith, a senior from Kennedy High School in Bellmore, NY, has been recognized as one of 15 students on Long Island who have earned a spot in the prestigious International Science and Engineering Fair. Goldsmith’s research project delves into the implications of breast cancer therapy, with a specific focus on a cancer-promoting network called the “epichaperome.” Each year, millions of high school students from all over the world participate in Regeneron-affiliated science fairs. However, only around 1,600 students qualify to compete for nearly $5 million in awards, scholarships, and internships. Goldsmith’s achievement is a testament to her dedication to advanced science research and her commitment to pursuing a career in scientific research.
