New IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley Goes for a Title Defense Against Powerhouse Hobbs in AEW Dynamite’s Highly Anticipated Live Event

The highly anticipated episode of AEW Dynamite is airing tonight at 8 pm ET on TBS. This week’s show will be coming to us live from Jacksonville, Florida’s Daily’s Place, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for us.

The main event of the night will feature new IWGP World Heavyweight champion Jon Moxley putting his belt on the line for the first time against Powerhouse Hobbs. The tension between the Blackpool Combat Club and The Don Callis Family will continue to boil over following Will Ospreay’s victory over Bryan Danielson at Dynasty on Sunday.

Following the events of the April 20 PPV, there will be plenty of fallout from Dynasty on tonight’s episode. New AEW World champ Swerve Strickland will face Kyle Fletcher in a Title Eliminator, while TBS titleholder Willow Nightingale will have a celebration despite already having a Double or Nothing defense set against Mercedes Moné. Chris Jericho, the new FTW champion, will have something to say, and Chuck Taylor will pick a side in the feud between Orange Cassidy & Trent Beretta.

Although there is nothing announced yet for new Tag champs The Young Bucks and their ally Scapegoat Jack Perry, we can expect to see them tonight. In addition, there will be a match between Anna Jay and Stardom’s Mina Shirakawa, along with much more action throughout the night.
