Launching Success: Brighton’s Grads program Empowers Young Entrepreneurs with Business Skills

Brighton’s Growing Grads program is designed to provide young entrepreneurs with the necessary skills and knowledge to start and run a successful business. The program also focuses on developing creative and communication skills essential for success in business.

According to Tawnya Russell, Youth Services Manager, the program has been highly beneficial for Brighton’s youth in helping them develop important business skills and gain self-confidence. The boot camp is constantly evolving to meet the needs of all participants and is expected to be even better in 2024.

The boot camp program for young entrepreneurs will take place at Brighton’s City Hall on 500 South 4th Ave. An orientation for all ages will take place on June 25 from 3-5 p.m., followed by the program running on June 26 and June 27.

The program is tailored for young adults aged 19 and below, with separate sessions for different age groups. The program for ages 12 and younger will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., while the program for those aged 13 and older will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., each day.

Upon completion of the program, participants will be eligible to sell their products at the Brighton City BBQ festival on July 18, giving them an opportunity to showcase their talents and connect with potential customers in a fun-filled environment! Registration for the boot camp can be done through the city’s website by June
