Helsinki Stock Exchange sees a Flurry of Activity as General Index Rises and Major Stocks Experience Gains

At the close of trading, the Helsinki Stock Exchange’s general index rose by 0.4 percent to 9978.25 points. The most traded stock of the day was Nordea Bank, which saw its share price increase by 1.8 percent to 11.26 euros. Many of the most traded stocks experienced an upward trend in their share prices, with Pharmaceutical company Faron Pharmaceuticals experiencing the largest increase at 10.3 percent to 1.54 euros. Information security company Withsecure and measuring equipment company Vaisala also saw gains of 5.3 percent and 4.8 percent, respectively.

In other news, food company Fodelia announced the sale of businesses related to its Perniön Liha brand and Helsingin Makkaratehdas brand, resulting in a 4 percent increase in its share price to end the day at 5.20 euros. IT company Digital Workforce Services secured a significant order worth 2.7 million euros from the United States, while blade company Do updated its long-term financial goals to focus on faster growth and higher profitability. Packaging manufacturer Huhtamäki revealed plans to close its manufacturing facility in Malaysia, resulting in job losses for employees and leaving investors uncertain about their future prospects with the company.

Customer information company Withsomething announced a share buyback program, while Enento’s share price saw an increase of 1.9 percent at the end of trading
