Hawk Mountain Council BSA Honors Bill Mack, Schuylkill Technology Center Instructor as Educator of the Year

Bill Mack, a Social Studies Instructor at the Schuylkill Technology Center North Campus, was recently honored by the Hawk Mountain Council BSA as the 2024 Elbert K. Fretwell Educator of the Year. The award was presented at a breakfast held at the STC North Campus on April 26, 2024.

Shannon Brennan, STC Director, praised Mr. Mack for his exceptional teaching skills and his ability to inspire leadership in his students. Bill Mack has an impressive educational background, holding a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree from Bloomsburg University. He is currently working towards his Principal’s Certification at Alvernia University and has sixteen years of teaching experience under his belt.

In addition to his role as an educator, Bill Mack is actively involved in various leadership positions within the community. He has held positions such as District President and District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler for the Pennsylvania Elks Association, as well as leadership roles in the Protective Order of Elks, Number 1533. He also serves as the STC SkillsUSA Advisor and is proud parent to his daughter Laynie with his wife Holly by his side.
