From Swings to Fields: Vote Now for North Jersey’s Standout Teams of the Week

Each week, NorthJersey.com features a Player of the Week poll and a Team of the Week poll. These polls allow readers to vote for their favorite high school sports performers and teams. To participate in the voting process, simply read about the standout teams from the previous week and cast your vote for the North Jersey Team of the Week at the bottom of the page. Voting ends at 4 p.m. on Thursdays.

Last week’s standout teams included Demarest softball, which went 3-1 and won a notable game against Hawthorne. Fair Lawn softball also made an impact by upsetting the third-seeded team in the Bergen County Tournament, while Leonia girls track & field secured their first league title since 1991 and Mahwah girls lacrosse pulled off impressive wins, including an upset over Ramapo.

Pascack Hills baseball had a great week with a 5-0 record and St Mary baseball dominated their opponents with an impressive scoring margin of 20-1. Additionally, West Milford boys track & field and Westwood boys lacrosse both had successful weeks by winning important league titles.
