Children Discover Marine Ecosystems at Aquarium Science Camp

Dive into Marine Science with Heal the Bay’s Aquarium Science Camp in Santa Monica

This summer, children can participate in an educational and engaging experience through Heal the Bay’s Aquarium Science Camp in Santa Monica. The camp is designed to teach kids about the fascinating water systems in the area while providing a hands-on learning opportunity.

Heal the Bay is an environmental nonprofit organization that works to keep the coastal waters and watersheds of Greater Los Angeles safe, healthy, and clean. They offer a variety of programs and camps throughout the year to inspire a love for science and learning in students.

The Aquarium Science Camp runs from June 24 to July 26 and provides a unique opportunity for children to study marine science, explore the natural world, and learn how to become stewards for the ocean. Each week, campers get to interact with live animals at the Aquarium, spend time at the beach, play games, and engage in exciting activities that develop their love for science and the ocean.

Kelly Kelly, Associate Director of Aquarium Education at Heal the Bay, emphasizes that their camp activities are designed to be fun and engaging while promoting learning among children. Through experiences like digging in the sand, discovering sand crabs, and other thrilling activities, children develop a passion for science and marine life.

The camp takes place at Heal the Bay’s Aquarium on Santa Monica Pier and is open to children entering kindergarten through eighth grade. Both daily and weekly rates are available for registration.
