U.S. News & World Report’s Ranking of the Top High Schools in the Augusta Area

Augusta, Columbia and Aiken Counties Shine in U.S. News & World Report’s Best High Schools Rankings

In the latest update of U.S. News & World Report’s Best High Schools national rankings, several public schools in the Augusta area have been recognized for their exceptional performance. These rankings highlight schools that excel in state assessments for science, math, and reading, as well as strong performances from underserved students, college readiness, curriculum breadth, and high graduation rates.

In Richmond County, Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School (No. 6 in Georgia and No. 264 in the U.S.), A.R. Johnson Magnet School (No. 11 in Georgia and No. 366 in the U.S.), and Richmond County Technical Career Magnet School stood out as top performers at both the state and national levels. Other notable schools include Academy of Richmond County and Westside High School.

In Columbia County, Greenbrier High School (No. 51 in Georgia) and Lakeside High School (No. 81 in Georgia) received recognition for their outstanding achievements. Grovetown High School, Evans High School, and Harlem High School were also among the best performing schools in the county.
