Croats create an app for diaspora members: ‘From job searching to entertainment’

Connecting Communities Through Technology: The Story of Appucinoo

A group of young entrepreneurs from Dortmund have created an innovative advertising platform called the ‘Appucinoo’ application to connect people in the diaspora. The founders, Josip Burazin (33) and Goran Kanjir (32), were joined by Stjepan Duman (35) to develop the platform in the Croatian language. The application provides valuable information on where people from former Yugoslav countries gather, their favorite hangout spots, services in the Croatian language, and other useful information.

The idea for the application was born out of a need for a platform that connects people within the Croatian-speaking community and provides various services and activities. The name ‘Appucinoo’ was created by combining the words ‘application’ and ‘cappuccino’, symbolizing people coming together over a cup of coffee to exchange information and make connections.

With Appucinoo, private users can easily access services within the Croatian-speaking community while business users can advertise and attract new clients. Users can create profiles, share information about their products and services, and connect with others in the diaspora community.

The Appucinoo team is currently expanding their partnerships and collaborations, with plans to extend the application to Austria. Users can chat with others on the platform while seeing how far other users are from them. The founders are optimistic about the positive response from both private and business users and are working towards making it more accessible and user-friendly.

The success of Appucinoo is attributed to its ability to cater specifically to a niche market that lacked representation on other platforms. It has become a valuable resource for individuals looking for services or connections within their local community or beyond their immediate surroundings.

In conclusion, Appucinoo is an innovative solution that bridges gaps between communities through technology. Its unique features set it apart from other platforms, making it a go-to source for those seeking connections within their respective diaspora communities. As more partnerships are established, we can expect this platform’s reach to expand further into new territories beyond Austria’s borders.
