Howell City generously provides business-focused freshman with new equipment

Young Entrepreneur Treyvon Hoskins Takes Howell by Storm with Lawn Mowing Business

Treyvon Hoskins, a 14-year-old boy from Howell, has been making a name for himself in the community with his hard work and dedication. At just eight years old, he started offering to mow his neighbors’ lawns and by the time he was ten, he had his own business cards.

Thanks to the support of several businesses and organizations, Hoskins received a Craftsman riding mower, a Honda push mower, work boots and socks, business cards, T-shirts, yard signs, door hangers, and fuel for the entire season. The gifts left Hoskins speechless as he expressed his surprise and gratitude to The Daily.

Councilmember Nikolas Hertrich first noticed Hoskins mowing lawns in the summer of 2021 and was impressed by his work ethic and professionalism at such a young age. He rallied the city to gather donations to support Hoskins’ business, Treyvon’s Lawn Service. Several businesses and organizations stepped up to help including UPS driver Keith Ozment, Agape City Church, Byrum Ace Hardware, Howell Western Wear, First Impression Print and Marketing
