Tragic Death Linked to Goat Blood Pudding at Wedding Feast in Thai Binh Province
On May 6th in Thai Binh province, a family hosted a gathering to celebrate a wedding in Hoang Dieu ward. The menu included roasted chicken, braised shrimp, melon and eggplant soup, and goat blood pudding made from ingredients sourced from Ninh Binh. The goat blood pudding was prepared using boiled pig ears, liver, and throat, with each tray having a large bowl for guests to consume.
The following day, the family held additional feasts with a variety of dishes including poultry, seafood, and other meats. However, one guest who consumed the goat blood pudding passed away due to sepsis and other complications. Several other guests also experienced symptoms such as fever, digestive issues, and abdominal pain.
Authorities are suspecting that the incident may be related to food poisoning but further investigation is needed to determine the exact cause and agent involved. The Department of Health is awaiting the results of blood cultures from the affected individuals in order to provide more information on the situation. The investigation is ongoing and results are expected to be revealed in the near future.
