Clark County Business Owners Express Concern about Ongoing Safety Concerns Following Recent Fire Incident

Struggle to Survive: Strip Mall Fire Leaves Business Owners and Customers in the Dark

A fire broke out in a strip mall off Tropicana and Pecos in Clark County on Saturday afternoon. The cause of the fire is believed to be related to homeless individuals who may have started it, leading to damage that has left several shops without power completely or partially since the incident.

The duration of the repairs is unknown, leaving business owners worried about their livelihoods. Jonny Galvez, owner of Familia Tattoo, expressed concern about providing for his family while his business remains closed. Joey Scolaro, owner of Lucino’s Pizza, had to discard a significant amount of food due to the power outage. Both owners feel uncomfortable in the unsafe structures and are unsure about what the future holds for their establishments.

Despite repeated requests from business owners, there has been little action taken to address security concerns at the strip mall. Channel 13 reached out to Colliers Property Management for a response but has not yet received a reply. Security issues and safety concerns have been raised by both Galvez and his wife since opening their shop last year, but they have seen no improvement in security measures.
