Top performers from Week 9 of spring sports in the Memphis area high schools

Record-Breaking High School Athletes Shine in Week 9 of the 2024 Season

The top performers in the Memphis area high school sports for Week 9 of the 2024 season have made remarkable contributions to their teams. In baseball, Caleb Doty of Lausanne was the winning pitcher for his team against ECS, allowing only three hits in five innings while also going 3-for-3 with three RBIs. Warner Johnson and Collin Woods from Lausanne also had impressive performances, each hitting two times.

At Trezevant, Larry Hampton had a standout game, hitting four times with a home run, six RBIs, and four runs scored. Damarious Reed and Preston Reed of Trezevant also contributed significantly to their team’s victory with RBIs and runs scored.

In softball, Ashlyn Bartholomew of Arlington went 2-for-3 with two runs scored in an 8-7 victory over Munford. Gabby Brewer was the winning pitcher for Arlington, while Breleigh Bunker hit twice for her team. Addie Graham of Arlington had an impressive game as well, hitting four times with a home run and scoring four runs for her team. Laney Lawson of Brighton was the winning pitcher in a game against St. Benedict, striking out eight batters in six innings while also hitting twice herself. Lola Sprenkle and Addie Thorpe from Tipton-Rosemark Academy (TRA) also had standout performances with hits and RBIs.

In girls lacrosse, Hannah Burton, Gaby Caron, and Savannah Markham all scored goals in a game against White Station. These athletes have shown skill and determination in their respective sports, contributing to victories for their teams.
