SGMC Health Nurse Recognized for Compassionate End-of-Life Care with Prestigious DAISY Award

Singletary’s exceptional nursing care has been recognized with the prestigious DAISY Award from SGMC Health. The RN was chosen for his compassionate end-of-life care that touched the heart of a patient’s family member, Tammy Richardson.

At SGMC Health, nurses like Singletary are celebrated for their dedication and commitment to providing exceptional care. Nominations for the DAISY award are reviewed by a committee based on criteria such as compassion, teamwork, leadership, attitude, and skills. Singletary was recognized for his ability to handle difficult situations with kindness and respect, giving comfort and reassurance during a difficult time.

Each DAISY award recipient receives a certificate acknowledging their exceptional nursing care and a hand-carved sculpture called A Healer’s Touch made by artists from the Shona Tribe in Africa. As an added touch, a beautiful floral arrangement of daisies is donated by The Flower Gallery, the local sponsor of SGMC Health’s DAISY Award.
