The 71st annual World’s Biggest Fish Fry in Paris, Tenn., returned on April 20th, with the Fish Tent opening on April 24th. This community-wide celebration and kickoff festival for West Tennessee attracts visitors from all over.

For a ticket price of $20, visitors to the Fish Tent can enjoy a plate of catfish, fries, coleslaw, beans, hush puppies, and more. Event Organizer Josh ‘Smokey’ Taylor emphasized the importance of this event in bringing people together.

The Fish Tent requires a significant amount of food to cater to the thousands of visitors who flock there each year. Taylor mentioned that they have 12 thousand pounds of fish, 3 or 4 thousand pounds of fries, and handmade hush puppies in abundance. This amount of food is enough to serve 320 people every hour.

The World’s Biggest Fish Fry continues until Saturday, April 27th, with operating hours on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. However, event organizers have assured that they will serve the last person in line even if it means staying open past closing time.

On Friday morning at 10 am on East Wood Street, the Fish Fry Parade will kick off. This is just one of many exciting activities taking place during the celebration. To stay updated on local news visit the link provided.[/
