US Cricket Team Prepares for T20 World Cup with New Faces and Familiar Talent

In June, the USA squad will co-host the 2024 T20 World Cup with the West Indies. Corey Anderson, a former player for New Zealand in both the ODI World Cup and T20 World Cup, has been named in the USA squad.

Ali Khan, known for his T20 league experience around the world, is also part of the squad. He has played in various leagues but has limited T20I experience. Shayan Jahangir, who began his cricket career in Pakistan and has represented USA in ODIs before, is another member of the team.

Gajanand Singh and Usman Rafiq have been left out of the squad. Milind Kumar, a former Delhi batter and top run-scorer in India’s Ranji Trophy, is also part of the team.

Monank Patel and Aaron Jones have been retained as captain and vice-captain respectively after leading the team to a series win against Canada. The squad will kick off the tournament with a match against Canada in Dallas on June 1st.
