Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase: 20 Minutes of Highly Anticipated Gaming Announcements
Nintendo has recently announced that the next Indie World Showcase will be airing this week. The livestream is scheduled to take place on April 17 at 4pm CEST / 7am PT / 3pm BST. Fans can watch the showcase on Nintendo’s official YouTube channel, as well as on Nintendo UK and Nintendo of America. It is likely that the showcase will also be available on the official Nintendo Twitch channel.
The Indie World Showcase is expected to be roughly 20 minutes long and will focus on announcements and updates on indie games coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2024. While the participating indie studios have not been revealed, there is speculation that the highly anticipated sequel to Hollow Knight, Hollow Knight: Silksong, may finally get a release date announcement. Fans have been eagerly awaiting news on the game since its announcement in February 2019.
The last update on Hollow Knight: Silksong was in 2022, when a new trailer was revealed during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase event. The game is set to launch on multiple platforms including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, as well as Xbox Game Pass.
