New Dean Appointed for Michigan Technological University’s College of Forest Resources and Environmental Sciences: Expert in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation Biology to Lead Institution towards a Greener Future
David Flaspohler has been appointed as the new Dean of the College of Forest Resources and Environmental Sciences at Michigan Technological University. He was selected after a comprehensive national search and has been serving as the interim Dean since 2022. Flaspohler has been a part of the university since 1998 and holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Wildlife Ecology and a Master of Science in Conservation Biology and Sustainable Development from the University of Wisconsin.
The appointment of Flaspohler brings a sense of leadership and experience to the institution as it prepares for the upcoming change in seasons. His background in wildlife ecology and conservation biology will undoubtedly be an asset as the college continues its commitment to environmental research and education.
