Exploring the World of Forensic Science: Alyshia Meyers Shares her Expertise at Portage Public Library Community Event

Forensic Scientist Alyshia Meyers shared her expertise and passion for the field of forensics with a group of families and individuals at the Portage Public Library this afternoon. The event, part of the Library’s Community STEM Cafe, was made possible by a mini grant from the Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8, which allowed residents in Cambria County to learn about the fascinating world of forensic science.

Meyers emphasized the importance of sparking children’s interest in science at an early age, as she believes it sets them up for success in the future. With her seven years of experience in forensics, she shared her knowledge with the audience and answered their questions.
