Lupelin Brewing Recognized with Award at World Beer Cup

Minnesota Breweries Shine at World Beer Cup: Lupelin Brewing Takes Silver Medal

The World Beer Cup, which took place in Las Vegas earlier this week, saw Big Lake’s Lupelin Brewing take home a silver medal for their Dortmunder beer. This was no small feat, as the competition attracted over 9,000 entries in 110 categories and is often referred to as the Olympics of beer. Winning a medal at the World Beer Cup is highly prestigious and a testament to the exceptional quality of craft beer produced in Minnesota.

In addition to Big Lake’s Lupelin Brewing, several other Minnesota breweries also made notable strides at the event. Bent Paddle of Duluth and Northbound Smokehouse and Brewpub of Minneapolis both took home gold medals, while Excelsior received a silver medal for their fruit beer. BeerClub of Mora and Pryes Brewing of Minneapolis also won bronze medals. These awards serve as a testament to the outstanding creativity and talent that can be found within the brewing industry in Minnesota.

According to Jess Talley, Executive Director of the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild, these successes highlight the fact that some of the best beer in the world is being made by local brewers right here in our communities. The competition at the World Beer Cup showcased brewers from around the globe and demonstrated that there is truly no limit to what can be achieved when passion meets skill.
